super slim and fast hard drive compatible with my macbook no need to download any software and the best price

I use this HD to back Up my Apple Mac Mini. Works great using the Apple Time Machine protocol. Have used it as well to transfer my data Wifi-Fi from my old iMac to my new Mac Mini and worked great. Its small size fits great on my desk, since it does not take a lot of space. Have had it for over a year with no issues.

Complete backup solution for under fifty bills! What's not to love? Reliable WD drive recognized immediately by Windows 10. Downloaded Acronis TrueImage from WD support site, installed simply; quickly checked built-in Help to choose my settings; completed full disk backup of 90+GB in < 10 minutes (PC has only 8GB RAM, with SSD). WD external drives are well-rated for reliability. This one is for primary backup of home office PC. So the key was getting a decent price that included both the drive and backup software so I will actually use the durn thing! This EasyStore checked those boxes. Was previously using a Seagate drive with their Toolkit software - NOT a full backup product, only files, then I discovered Toolkit wasn't backing up some Office files created by others (like spreadsheets sent to me by colleagues), certain PDFs, etc - NOT cool! Have used TrueImage nearly 20 yrs. By 2015 ver it seemed to be getting unnecessarily complicated. The WD version offers a simple interface with the default settings & automatic schedule likely ideal for the average home user. Has 5-year license which seems enough - I expect the EasyStore will last longer but will likely replace the PC I'm backing up before that expires.

If you're looking to backup your critical information this drive is perfect for that. I purchased this drive for use with my MacBook Pro. Set-up was a breeze as the drive was instantly recognized and Time Machine on my Mac did the rest. I store this in my safe and I'll pull it out about once per month to update my backups. Price is excellent.

These are super nice and small. Provide a great deal of additional storage in a small package and GREAT price. You can easily toss this into your purse, laptop bag and / or a small external storage case and walk around with a huge amount of storage in a tiny, beautiful package. The case itself is super well built and feels like a tank. The activity light is not too bright and is well located on the case for easy viewing. I highly recommend all of the Easystore products at Best Buy.

i have not purchased an external drive for years. So, when I received this one I was amazed as to how small and lightweight this on is. Performs flawlessly.

This 1 TB external hard drive is awesome! I am Able to easily store photos, documents that I need to keep … without need to print out hundreds of pages. I especially love it to retain memorable photos …some from years back that have been sitting on my computer hard drive. I was also able to clone the data on my old computer that was ready for the “computer cemetery…”.

It's small, convenient, easy to install (plug & play), and inexpensive! What's not to like?

I love this external hard drive! I bought this external hard drive two months before my laptop all of a sudden gave out and died. Very easy to install and transfer data. Just plug-in and transfer. The size is incredibly small but well made. My local store didn't have it in stock, so I had to order it. Received it the very next day! I purchased another external hard drive about 15 years ago. That one was HUGE and only had 250 GB of storage. Would recommend this item to anyone.

This is a great portable drive! Super easy to get started and to use, and tons of space. I’m not sure I’ll ever run out of room considering it’s a terabyte. My last external drive was almost 20 years old, only held 256, was big, and starting to make funny noises. This one is maybe a third the size and, being solid state, it is much faster and quiet.

This hard drive was purchaced so the Geek Squad could backup my hard drive. So fast and easy to locate a file on it rather than searching on my PC! I love Best Buy because I'm 75 yrs old and their service has been top notch!

When I received this, I was honestly expecting something much larger. This is so cute and the amount of files this little hard drive is able to hold is phenomenal! I wanted to back up all the photo’s I have on an older computer, 33,000 photo’s! No problems at all and I still have plenty of room left. Very easy to use, and it comes with a USB cord. Just plug it in to your computer and drag your files/folders on to the hard drive. Also, length of time to transfer 33,000 photo’s and video’s was not long at all, much quicker than I expected. It just doesn’t get much easier than that when backing up files. Also, for the women out there, this would fit in your purse if needed or if there was an emergency and you needed to grab this quickly to save your files. Very satisfied with purchase!

Love this hard drive! Fast, small and portable and more importantly large storage. I feel the plug in part is already getting loose though. So be careful and don’t be aggressive in removing or attaching cable. I didn’t do that but maybe even just the strain from slight bend causes the connection to loosen on the HD
