I bought this in conjunction with data recovery that the Geeks were doing for me. They put all of the recovered data onto this drive. It has worked flawlessly for me. All I did was plug it into my computer, and all of the recovered data are available at my fingertips. Ditto when I plug this into one of my other computers.

It got the job and gave me more memory for my playstation 4. The games I saved are still there and moved stuff back and forth easily

I have been purchasing WD external drives for backup for years. It is a product I trust to always work well. It is light weight and reliable and I never consider a different brand. I use this one to transfer data between my desktop and laptop computers that I am currently working on. I do photography and am always working on different pictures so I always have a backup with me. Great product and again, very reliable.

The Good The WD Elements Portable drive offers a large amount of storage space for a low cost. Its simple design allows it to work well with computers, game consoles and other type of hosts. The Bad You have to pay extra to use its included backup software after the introductory 30-day trial. The drive has no security features and carries a short warranty of just one year. The Bottom Line Though not the fastest on the market, the WD Elements' large capacity makes it an excellent deal considering its low price.

I purchased this SSD External Portable Hard drive in order to be able to back up my laptop. I have a ton of things loaded on it already and still have half the space left! 1TB of storage is a huge amount of storage space! Very pleased with this product.
