If you're concerned about storage, this is the perfect alternative. We had 2 old laptops that had too much stored on them at the end of their lifespan. We were able to move everything stored on both of these laptops to this external hard drive and didn't lose anything. Highly recommend!

This HD worked out fine, but I had to call WD tech support. Their online instruction manual for MAC's simply said to go to Apple Support. Full disclosure, I'm not tech savvy at all, no idea what I was doing & Apple support wasn't much help either. WD tech was great, walked me through it quickly & the HD was up & running in no time. Pleased with the end result.

Well, I just got this but it appears to serve the purpose so far (backup storage for personal photos, videos, documents, etc.). I have another WD HD that has worked well for years and this new portable is much smaller but holds just as much. I haven't had it long so if I later have problems with it, I'll try to update this review. So far, so good...

This external hard drive holds a lot of storage. I've been able to save numerous photos, music downloads, work files and movies. This is so much better than the stick inserted into the side- because I always end up bending and/or breaking it. Great investment and regrets....

I've had quite a few portable drives over the years, and this one is by far the best -- very small, very light, very fast, and stores ALL my data and could handle much more. Also, did I mention a very reasonable price?

The storge unut worked great. Save all my data while working on my laptop. Was able to retrieve all the data that i needed to put back on my laptop. Now i will use to store all my pictures.

Oh my goodness! This thing is a lifesaver! I love having a backup for all my photos then by surprise I had computer trouble and was able to dump my entire system on this BAD BOY in my time of trouble. A TRUE LIFESAVER!

Recommend. Works as expected. The only issue I had was trying to install the WD software on the device. Was able to back up all my music, photos and important files. Bought this as an additional backup as my other external drive is about 6 or 7 years old.

I ordered this item online and it was hand delivered to my house the very next day. The set up was super easy and quickly saved all of my files. I would recommend this product to my friends and family that wants to have an affordable way to backup important information.

I had to back up a couple of my Windows 10 machine, including creating a system image for both. Everyting went smoothly, external drive connected and performed quickly without issues. I also use it to back up files from my Mac Book Pro, no issues there either, everything went well seamlessly. This little portable drive really does work very well.

Excellent portable backup hard drive with enough space to handle years worth of pictures. I compact size fits easily on the desk. Easy install, you just plug it into a USB port and the technology does the rest.
