It was a little frightening, but it was installed easily. It has lots of storage.

I bought this one to replace a pre-existing Toshiba external drive that I used with a Tablo DVR. I copied the files over from the old one before letting the Tablo format it for use with the DVR. So far, I like the WD and I've always like them in the past. I did not install the preloaded software allowing it to be used to automatically back up my laptop because I do not keep it connected. I only connect it for use in downloading bank records, tax records ECT and do not want it continuously on the net. I also back up my pictures manually.

Very nice back up hard drive. I love being able to back up photos and documents on this. I save everything here, and when I need to upgrade my computer eventually I will have it all here ready to go.

An added hard drive for backing up your computer. It was a great buy for when you purchase a new computer or if your computer crashes. You can't wrong with this item and it has plenty of storage.

I needed something with substantial storage for all of the pictures that my wife takes and her laptop was getting full. Have owned WD drives in the past and actually still have a couple for miscellaneous storage. Great price for 1TB. I'm just hoping that it lasts for a little while before needing to get more.

The Geek Squad recommended this external hard drive for downloading all the files on an older tower that crapped out. It made transferring them to the new tower super fast and now backs up all the new files easily.

Works great out of the box. No special installation requirements. 1 TB stores most of your backup, pictures, files and misc items. If you have a lot of videos, you may need a bitter drive.

The WD Easy Store 1TB was exactly what I needed to back up my older Dell PC . I feel safe now that all my files-folders-and contacts are backed up so when I upgrade my old reliable Dell I wont be missing "my stuff" !

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AND WANTED ! The GEEK Squad transferred all my data to it before they started the computer fix,

I now have all my files in an external USB and do not have to worry about my computer files being hacked and losing all my information. I can take this external file and load it into any device and have my up to date files.

This a good amount of space for the price. There are definitely better option but at this price point it can't be beat.

I purchased this external HD to connect to my sons Xbox to increase storage for his games. Connection was nearly effortless and his Xbox recognized the drive and set it up with out any issues. Great deal of the day purchase.

ready to use immediately . Just plug it in and copy sensitive data to it. Would have liked if it came with a drive ghosting software so I could have immediately ghosted a potentially failing drive to this drive to swap out in the laptop later. . .

I love the easy store device. I have an older desktop and worried about losing important documents and photos. I downloaded all my files onto the device. They are easily transferred to my digital photo album and my other computer.
