Slim, quiet, and reasonably good

It would be nice if it came with a USB-C cable (or a small adapter), rather than the "USB-A to USB3 Micro-B", so that I didn't need to buy another dongle/cable, but it gets the job done. (Though I'll admit that if it hadn't been on a good sale, I might've looked further for other options.)

Great for backing up LOTS

It is a great price and stores so much!! We have 2 laptops of info on it and there is still a ton of space!

Good device but software made install difficult

Not the plug and play it is advertised being, however. I had to resort to tech support both times. This is my second WD Hard drive. I suggest not installing the software and using your windows backup options in the settings option if you have windows.

Added to laptop

Last one died lossing all when previos laptop crash. I will try this new one now that it is on the new laptop. Difficult for me to understand the process attaching, drop dragging and checking to make sure the data had been truly saved.

It has been my go to drive for back ups for the past 5 years. I have never had any problems with it. For a large capacity portable hard drive it is hard to beat.

Xbox One storage upgrade

I needed a way to expand my storage in a cost effective way. This unit was only $20 more than the 1TB version so I chose this one. I just plugged it into a USB 3 port and instantly jumped my storage up to 2 TB.

No frills storage for a great deal

I use a similar 4TB one that I’ve had for about 2 years as an external drive for my ps5. It’s connected every day and have never had a problem.
