Simply plugged it into a USB 3.0 port, and it was immediately recognized. Transferred files to be backed up and the data transfer occurred very quickly. About 3/4 of the capacity is now occupied, and I'm considering buying another one for additional back up purposes. You won'take a mistake owning one of these.

We could not figure out why I could not initiate it, so I exchanged it for a different brand. Ease of Use rating is for this problem only.
