    Lots of storage for such a small footprint. At first, I bought this 2TB external hard drive and figured this is plenty of space. But realized I can also get the 4TB unit for just a little more, So I returned this 2TB and bought the 4. Either way,... This is still an awesome little storage unit.

    For basic backup of data I used an external 1TB WD HDD to good effect. As with that HDD, this has the same male micro USB 3.0 double plug to 3.0 USB A male cable. I would have preferred a USB C connection but at least now I have 2 cables. Data transfer is not as fast as with a Samsung 1TB SSD but it serves its purpose. I've used WD HDDs in 3.5" and 2.5" form factors in the past and am pleased with their reliability to date. My old 1TB HDD will see service on a DVR device.
