    I've owned this for almost a year and it hasn't failed yet. Since I purchased it, it seems to be quite noisy at times even when it's idle. It still works as expected, but I'm always worried if it will eventually fail. This is only a backup drive and is rarely connected only when I need to retrieve/backup files. I would recommend this only if it's on sale and for minimal use.

    always gonna only buy WD hard drives,never had one to fail.size and price at bestbuy is great with good selection.you could put this size in your pocket when you travel and use it with a laptop anywhere no outlet needed.
