Easy to use data storage

It works very well out of the box for Windows, although I am mostly a Linux user. There are no directions or support provided for a Linux environment, although the drive works well. Only a couple of minor issues I had (connecting to Linux pc) were that it is a bit dodgy about running on USB 3.0. Had some issues safely disconnecting (unmounting) the drive. Works perfect with USB 2.0 though. If using a Linux system, you may need to reconfigure the file system from NFTS to either EXT4 or a mix, depending on what you are using the drive for. Over the years I have developed more trust in using Western Digital drives than for other brands. They usually end up being more reliable than others.

Must have for Xbox gaming storage!!

It was the Deal of The Day and the price was even cheaper. We have bought other brand name hdd and they fail to soon, never have had any issue with Western Digital HDD.

Reliable Drive

The only complaint I have is the short cable that is provided. It could stand to be another six inches in length to make it easy to plug into the back of a computer.
