I needed extra space on my Xbox and this has been a great way to expand my game library. Works with both systems just needs to be configured for the system you will be using it with.

Simple plug and play set up. Backups are very quick.

I haven't had this for too long so I can't speak on its reliability but the setup was extremely easy. It's also very slim and easy to tuck away anywhere. I've been using to backup files from laptop in case it decides to not function one day. I had to go around some settings in Windows 10 because it was being a little bit difficult.

Great product for the price, easy to use and install

Copying photos via drag and dropping created unexpected errors. The drive was configured and by setting up the software included, however, there wasn't software included to transfer the data from hard drive to this external drive. Not sure I would recommend this to friends and family.

So far so good, only just had my pictures moved from phone must go through laptop though. The Geek squad had to do it as for my computer having a hard time picking it up when plugged in.

I purchased this drive last year and it seems to do the job. However, I think I was mislead by the mention that WD backup software was included. This is still mentioned in the specs but it is not available from WD. They mention Acronis which requires a license. I have been using WIndows file history but because I was unable to figure out the WD backup offer until now. Somewhat misleading specs because I purchased this particular drive to do auto backups and expected it to be easy. It does not seem that's the case.
