Nice external hard drive. Must have if you need a back uo.

Bought this to backup all my files from my old and new laptops. It was easy to set up and has plenty of room. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

Transferring docs are super easy and for the price this device perfect! Nice knowing if my computer crashes I still have all my precious docs and photos.

This is my 3rd external drive. Easy to use. Needed to backup DVR before it could be replaced.

I love these appliances, except the washer leaks a little water, but I will contact Best Buy for further review after I have used again to be sure it is going to be okay. Delivery and set up excellent!

So far so good! I use it for my PS4 to save extra games and it's storing them as we speak! I keep it plugged into the system and it works like a charm.

Great storage device and trustworthy company. My only issue is that I feel i will be in trouble if i lose the adapter cord. Its a very unique port on the device that i have never seen before.

I use this as a permanently attached external backup drive for my PC. It works fine and as per my usual experience with WD drives, it is very reliable. It replaced a 10-year-old WD drive that I disposed of when I bought my new computer. My complaint is that it was very difficult to setup to back up all my files. I had 79GB of files and photos in my users folder (Windows 10) which this drive was supposed to back up by default but it consistently backed up only 21GB. After numerous unsuccessful attempts including using custom settings to manually select all my User folders, I was about to give up when I decided to try including what Windows refers to as a library and that worked. As a bonus, it also backed up all the software programs I had on the main hard drive, like games, photo editing software, Quicken, etc., even MS Office. I tried running all those programs from the WD drive and they all worked. What it did not back up was the Windows 10 OS whereas my old WD backup drive had created an image of my old Windows OS. Not a big deal as I have a separate recovery drive. One last issue: In order to find your files, you have to navigate down through an absurdly complex number of folders with bizarre names. One would think WD could simplify that process. I gave it three stars because of the setup issues and the difficulty locating files.
