This was on sale and it came with a $25 Best Buy gift card. It was a hair over $95 with the tax but if you deduct the gift card it was $70, for a 4 TB hard drive. That is a deal as far as I'm concerned. These are WD drives but they are sold only at Best Buy. The warranty is 2 years, a year less than a WD badged drive but you're not going to get a 4 TB WD branded drive for anywhere near this price. It is perfect for backups or storing the overflow from your folders on other drives.

Great storage amount for decent price and very easy to use with PSR to offer extended storage option for PS4

I needed a way to expand the current storage for my 500GB PS4. I did my research and found a lot of external hard drives, but this one had the best quality rating and an excellent price. The transfer rate on the PS4 is excellent. I have run games right off this drive and noticed zero lag in load time or gameplay. The transfer speed was high and took just over 20 minutes to move about two hundred gig. I would recommend this drive to anyone wanting more storage on their PlayStation 4.

Worked out well....I did not know how to hook it up.....went back to store and worked with a Geek Squad agent......5 mins. later it was up and running

Same review for the last several years. Get a executive to get back to me. Tech support Ng total / geek squad below avg to avg. in Stor awful years ago you were great like ace hardware. Now half the number of people u used to have wit half the personality and half the skill. Only reason I subject mysel to ur mess is I used to live in mini years ago and I have a few friends in leadership there. Your 1 visit away from me saying enough is enough.

Just what I needed. I have a media player that can use up to 2TB max and this was priced just right.

I routinely work with 100's of GB datasets in the field. This drive is compact and works flawlessly.

I purchased this for my Mother so she could conduct her own data backups from her laptop. Although she is familiar with computers, she is somewhat intimidated by new extended components, processes and procedures. The design, ease of use and simple backup process is perfect for her. One walk-thru with this drive and she was actually surprised at how easy it was to conduct her own backups. Good design, interface and simple steps (confidence builder) from this little HDD.

I bought this to use with my Xbox one and it works. I got it on sale at a good price. You should buy one for sure.

I recently purchased an Acer Switch Alpha 12 from Best Buy and then purchased this to supplement its 256GB RAM. It works great powered from the tablets USB A or C port. Transfer speeds are really fast. I also use it with my Macdook Pro via a powered USB 3 hub. Again, works great. I have had great experiences with WD drives in the past and expect the same from this one. I use this drive primarily for archiving files, but it also functions as a media source for movies, no problem.

You need to format this drive so if you don’t know how to do it this drive might not be for you. Not a plug and play drive

Quick to install and use. I just plugged it in and off I went. More space then needed but well worth it.

I bought 3 of these drives to rotate for backups. I'm pretty happy with them. I was a little disappointed that they don't have password protection capability like some of the other WD drives do, but I can live with that for the price I paid.
