I've only had this drive for a couple of months and the most important attribute of a hard drive is its longevity, so we will have to wait and see on that. But it is a wonderful hard drive! Very fast throughput! I formatted it with one an apfs partition and an hpfs partition to make backups, one of which is bootable. Everything has worked find through two backups and my computer boots from this drive with no problems.

I bought 8 of these to store old videos. It was easy to use and it holds lots of videos.

First of all, I am not tech savvy, so a detailed response about specific function will not be provided. All I can speak to is my basic understanding and experience with this product, which I have only used 2-3 times. It was easy to use. I did not experience any difficulties with installation or transferring data. The WD - easystore® 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive worked great - it was simple, fast, and functioned in accord to product description.

This product turned out to be just what we needed. My son has an Origin PC that he uses strictly for gaming. He began not being able to download any more games or even edit and post videos to his YouTube channel. We didn’t have it in our budget to purchase another PC and we were recommended by a friend to purchase this product. It works like a charm. My son is back to gaming and becoming a famous YouTuber (so he says)...lol. It’s like he has a new system.

Purchased this to expand the storage of my 1TB X Box. I’ve moved several games off the hard drive to this storage unit with plenty of space to go. Easy to format and use.

So far, so good. Just make sure you use Disk Utility to format properly if you're using Mac! Simple, quick data storage and especially valuable when on sale.

Works as expected. About 1.8 TB of usable space after formatting the drive. Light does constantly flash, but that is to show that it is working.
