Excellent external hard drive for a good price

I am using with Windows backup and have had zero problems with it. The monitoring software that comes with it is a bit of overkill. I removed it from Windows auto startup, as the drive is quite reliable without it.

Good file backup external drive

I have used similar WD external drives in the past 5 years without issue. I only plug these in for a few minutes at a time and unplug when not in use. This one came with minimal packaging - cable and drive only.

It was very easy to use and copied the documents quickly. I do not keep it plugged in all the time, using it only when I want to make periodic backups. It does have software to do automatic backups.

That is go into that secret place on the computer where you enter commands through text. That is sure to scare some people. It seemed to work fine at first but then the backup stalled. So not great. I still haven’t been able to successfully back up my computer, but that might come down to the fact that it’s on its last leg. If you use Windows I imagine this would be excellent.
