Here is a secret why spend the money on a desktop or laptop that has huge amount of memory built in when you can save that cash and have those files you would store there mobile with anywhere you can plug in. to me its a no brainer when this unit is so easy to use

Great device to backup manually your data and transport it with you. Better than thumb nail due to data size.

very easy to use and perfect external hard drive to carry with. needed for my laptop to download programs.

I bought this for ps4 and works great. However you might have to mod the usb side of the plug that connects to ps4. Really simple to do. Cut a piece of tape (I used transparent type) and block the two middle metal pins on the connector. The issue happening was that the ps4 was seeing this as a usb 2.0 device (something along this line) and would not let me use it for external storage. After taping up the middle pins and leaving the outside ones exposed it solved the problem. PS4 recognized it right away as usb 3.0 and have not had any issues at all.

Works great. Learned my lesson when my last computer died, and I had not backed my files up. I just set this up and forget it.

So far it does what it is supposed to. Time is always the true measure of external storage. This is a backup drive for redundancy.

Bought for my PS4. Has done a really good job. Was seamless to move data from the PS4 to storage device.

Never had anything to do with external hard drives. It works perfect and is just plug and play. - Works great with my Tablo DVR.

I can only tell you it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I am satisfied with my purchase. I knew I wasn't getting the best but I didn't want to bad one either. This was a good deal for the price and I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking to do a backup.
