But I did get it all set up and ready, and that was easy. The software all downloaded fine and was easy to use. I've got several other WD drives that have lasted 5 years or more.

I would recommend upgrading to a 4TB or 6TB after awhile. Yes literally, one can never have too much space for games. I've upgraded from this one already. Happy Gaming

The software provided to help you set it up for Mac wasn't terribly help[ful and I had to use Disk Utility to format it for use on both Windows and Mac, but otherwise this is a solid external for the money.
