    The device was not used on my new computer until 2 months after the computer was installed. So far this external hard drive seems to be backing up my new data each day (as set in the scheduling software). Basically it appears to be a drive that is like a "set it & forget it" piece of hardware. It does what it is supposed to do & the data I need will be there when I call for it. I am pleased with this purchase.

    Everything was easy to start up and do a first backup. The next backup was even easier. I think I will try copying some folders straight to the disk so I can see them in their non-coded format.
