Plug it in to the back of the system, turn on the ps4, go to settings/devices/USB storage devices and you format it from there. It then automatically chooses to install to this drive. It really is as simple as that! No need to buy a internal drive and take the ps4 apart!

I am enjoy researching my family ancestry and this is a great place to store all the information I have collected to date. This is my second one, and it is the back-up for the back up and has more storage than my other one.
