The unit was on sale around $62 and was a great buy for his Christmas present. I have had my two WD external hard drives for over four years and they are high quality, durable, and always dependable.

Excellent Back Up Solution for my PC

This portable drive looked like just what I needed. It connected to my PC and I can now do the backups that I needed on my schedule! I have had this for a little over 3 weeks now. It has been flawless so far. It is very compact and easy to use.

External drive ok for PC not as easy for MAC

It comes with excellent setup software and works flawlessly. My use requires extensive rewrites which it handles flawlessly and continously. I have yet to experience any dropout of data on any size file. I trust these drives with extremely valuable data that would be impossible to replace.

I use the drive to back up files and to put the files on other computers. This is especially helpful when the files are too large to email or you have too many files to transfer.
