this product is great. it works just as well as other name brand products but a little cheaper in price. I have never had problems with this type of portable hard drive. I use it on a laptop to run emporium on my at games legends pinball and runs great. I highly recommend this if you need the space to install a lot of files.

Needed a backup drive as my laptop seems to be on its last legs and needed to backup a lot of files and portability was a requirement. This simple plug-n-go device was a great priceand ticked all the requirement boxes and then some. Great product.

using my WD external drive as a back up and transfer tool. I recently had a problem with my desktop and was able to transfer some critical files to the external drive. While my desktop was in the shop to get a new hard drive, my WD external drive and my laptop kept me working. The drive is a convenient size to carrly in my laptop case. Yes, I'd buy it again.

My MacBook kept reminding me that I wasn’t backing it up, so I decided it was time to buy an external hard drive. This one was very easy to set up. I had to look up a tutorial on YouTube to properly format it, but it was easy. So keep that in mind: it is not plug and play for Mac’s. Extra info: BUY AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE! I had an iMac that died after a power flash and I lost everything. Apple Time Machine is so simple to use. It backs up your entire computer with the click of a button. Also, this hard drive has a nice feature that allows you to divide the drive space into separate sections. So I have a PC ready section and a Mac ready section. You decide what percentage of storage you want each section to have using a pie graph. This is a great feature since we have PC’s in the house that can now be backed up to this drive as well.
