    Great drive. Up and running right away. Stays cool, and processes quickly. This is my 6th WD drive I’ve bought for myself or my family over the past 5 years. With 6/6 running perfectly, I will keep going back to WD. That said, I do recommend keeping an eye on pricing, as great can become greater with a little planning.

    I used it to transfer photos on Mac to PC. Followed some exfat formatting procedure found on google, for this new drive. Took hours to copy over 45000 photos from Mac Mini to this drive. But they copied really fast.... minutes, to new PC. I’m hoping to find another use, maybe the back up drive for the new pc.

    Exactly what I needed. Office computer I had hard drive crashed and we lost 10 years of files. Eventually we were able to send hard drive off to get data retrieved at the cost of almost $4,000. So the cost of this external hard drive was well worth it to me and it was on sale.
