great fast and reliable back up drive

Perfect expansion for my hard drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was maxing out my 1TB MacBook Pro but don't need to get a new laptop, since this one is working great. (Besides, I don't know if a SSD internal is made for this in a larger size yet.) Adding the compact Easy Store WD 2tb USB external was perfect. Sure, I have to take it to & from work with the laptop, but it's so small, it's easy to do. Flawless performance so far, and I cleared a ton of space on my primary drive. loads fast, migrates files transparently. Biggest item on the external is the iTunes folder (260 gb to date), and it's smooth as ever. Left photos on the primary lest I ever have an issue with the external. My experience is that Photos behave better left on the default drive and location. Very happy. All is backed up with Time Machine hourly at each of the two locations I work most (3 TB each place - should bump that up soon), so there is a redundancy to be safe.

External USB Hard Drive

While I do not have a lot, they are quite important. In the past I used the usb flash drive which took several minutes at times. Although I have only used this external usb once I was very surprised at the speed! Overall I thought it was a good purchase.
