Super easy to plug in and use and allows anything to be installed onto which helps with gaming.

Works great! Hooked this up to my CFW Wii U and now have all the games I’d ever wanna play. Make sure to buy a Y Cable also since the Wii U doesn’t put out enough power

As far as backing up and being small and holding a lot of information these drives are great. Not the plug and play it is advertised being, however. I had to resort to tech support both times. This is my second WD Hard drive. I suggest not installing the software and using your windows backup options in the settings option if you have windows.

With laptops continually scaling back their internal storage this was a no brainer. I just keep all of my pictures and backup work files on it so that they don’t take up my hard drive space. I got it on a “deal of the day” too so it was extra worth it!

Bought this for my wife so she can back up her work for grad school. I use a similar 4TB one that I’ve had for about 2 years as an external drive for my ps5. It’s connected every day and have never had a problem.

So I bought this to plug into an old Mac Mini for backups. I thought I could plug it in, reformat to a Mac file system format and I'd be on my way! Wrong! So look up how to format it for your particular version of the macOS on youtube before you start out. The key is that you might have to hit erase twice in Disk Utility.
