Easy to use and tons of storage, Single connection for power and data, and small enough to carry in a pocket. Love it, especially at the Deal of the Day price! (1/2 off).

I literally plugged it in to my iMac, went to the Disk Utility application, selected this external hard drive, selected erase and then it prompts you to rename this external hard drive and then I reformatted it as journaled. It took about 1 minute to reformat. After that I selected to use as my time machine back up and then it all started backing up my iMac--which took about 4 hours (maybe less) to complete. Pretty simple and I like it's size and how the little tabs underneath help it from slipping on my desk. Now I sit, wait and hope I get many years with this product.

This hard drive is small so it's easy to carry around. Easy no brianer setup. I can store tons of photos and videos on it. Best of all, the sale price was what made this an excellent buy.

This little thing is a lifesaver! This was my first external hard drive so I was a bit nervous about buying the wrong one. I'm so glad I went with this one. It has endless amounts of storage and is small enough to keep plugged in and sitting on top of my tower without taking up space or overheating. I have all my games, photos, and important documents saved here. Perfect for someone with a smaller desktop, like me, or someone who needs extra storage for all their files.

I used to have a 500gb drive and stored all my files and pictures of cats. It was almost full. Then due to the horrors of moving every 2 seconds, it was damaged. How will will I store more pics of animals doing human things now? 2TB?! Works great. Lots of storage for all of your memes, Soundcloud tracks and personal fanfics. A good price and also with other storage sizes if you indeed need more storage for big videos of your pet sleeping. WD has been a trusted storage name for me for a while. Would save cat pics in again.

I had bought previously (3 years back) 1TB of this one and that is still working good. I got a Good deal to have this one (2TB). Works good with MacBook and windows device.

Portable hard drives sure have shrunk since I first bought one, and that is a good thing. I filled this drive with files, folders, photos, videos and spreadsheets and had no problem retrieving them. I formatted the drive, added other items, erased them and had no problems afterward. It was a good price and has worked well. However, I have to give no stars to Best Buy's copy writers. I was enticed to write this review with an email headlined "We value your opinion. Literally." Please do not use the term "literally" unless you know how to do so properly. If you had used it properly, it wouldn't have been used.

This small little device holds plenty of data and connects quickly for a simple to use hard-drive. I easily backed up my new laptop shortly after buying it, and would have never guessed that all my data would soon be lost on the laptop. But fortunately, everything was on this external hard drive! I recommend this for any household or office, it couldn't be easier to connect and use.

I was recently gifted a new playstation 4 and after reading about the enormous install size of some of the games, I decided to purchase this. I got it for 59.99 on a sale. Pros It was priced very well 2TB hard drive space(1.84TB usable) Plug and play Cons It has a little blinking light that likes to go crazy at night(probably while the ps4 is updating ). If you happen to sleep in the same room with your console/external hdd, it could possibly bother you. Of course, there are easy fixes for that. Note- I have a 2tb external hdd for my xbox one and it is a my passport x. The difference between the two? The passport x has stripes. So....Yeah. Honestly though, I think the my passport x is supposed to look like a mini xbox one.
