Very good hardrive. Has a lot of storage, is easy to setup and works seamlessly with the new next gen video game consoles.

This hard drive was exactly what I needed. Transferring my large video projects to it was extremely simple and it's so compact, it's easy to store anywhere. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to store large files or many files.

This works better than I expected. Since [affordable] PCs & Laptops seem to be coming with less and less on board storage, I bought this to see whether I could store & run games from this drive. It might not be *as* good as running them from an SSD, but it is certainly more than sufficient. And now, I can take this between my laptop and desktop and save storage space on my PC for the launchers and other programs I need for school. I'll take a barely noticeable dip in loading speed for this convenience.

East to set up, using for my Xbox. Plugged it in and followed prompts. Got lots of storage now at a good price

This thing installed the drivers very nicely on my pc. It can hold a lot of data. The only concern is that I can hear a disk running inside when it is plugged in, I'm a little worried that it will quite one day. Otherwise, it's a great value product.

This device has enough memory to backup files locally. I used it to transfer files from older model computer to my new laptop. Worked great for that purpose. Also, I backup all my digital photos here. As easy to use as a thumb drive, plenty of storage.

So happy with this hard drive!! My previous external HD was very cheap and I certainly got what I paid for: it took hours to upload files and occasionally the folders and their content would disappear. Needless to say I lost a significant portion of my files and learned my lesson. This WD external hard drive changed the game: I had ten years of documents, music, and movies transferred in just a couple hours!!! Insane download speed, great compact size, and ample space for the price. If you can grab one on sale, do it!!

There’s so many different storage devices to choose from. Many of them make tons of promises. I will say that when it comes to performance and consistency WD is top notch. I use the storage device for my pro tools music sessions and I also run my daw through my WD and not the HD on my Mac and this lil baby gets the job 100% done with no lag or loss of data and files. Not to mention have a 1,000 gb’s doesn’t hurt for storing extra miscellaneous files. Great purchase amazing product!

There is not much to describe. We all look for good quality, price, and performance. This one has all 3. The quality is well known. The price is better when it is on sale. And the performance is 115 Mb/s Read and 110 Mb/s Write which I believe is fantastic for a USB 3.0 mechanical disk drive. I travel a lot so this drive had seen 26-degree weather as well as 126-degree weather. It stays in my backpack and gets beat up a lot. However, there are no bad sectors and it performs as it was just made.

Easy to use and exactly what i needed. Plus more, this harddrive has features i havent seen before. Like data recovery, nice.

This is my second WD external drive though this one is twice the capacity. One of my ongoing fears is the loss of my family pictures and videos and though I have those files backed up on a second computer, my angst of losing them, especially should my two laptops be damaged or stolen, is the overwhelming reason to back those files and keep them in a different location (not even in my house). The WD drives work very well and have great capacity for just about anyone's photo and/or video files.

Used as emergency back up for my Dell tower. Haven't used it for that purpose yet, but glad to have my data saved.

This was a great deal at the time, 2 TB for $50. Works great and more than enough storage for what i need.

I use this for work. I just plug it into my computer at the office and work. Then I take it with me and I can plug it into my laptop at home and work there. Much easier than carrying my computer back and forth.
