There’s so many different storage devices to choose from. Many of them make tons of promises. I will say that when it comes to performance and consistency WD is top notch. I use the storage device for my pro tools music sessions and I also run my daw through my WD and not the HD on my Mac and this lil baby gets the job 100% done with no lag or loss of data and files. Not to mention have a 1,000 gb’s doesn’t hurt for storing extra miscellaneous files. Great purchase amazing product!

There is not much to describe. We all look for good quality, price, and performance. This one has all 3. The quality is well known. The price is better when it is on sale. And the performance is 115 Mb/s Read and 110 Mb/s Write which I believe is fantastic for a USB 3.0 mechanical disk drive. I travel a lot so this drive had seen 26-degree weather as well as 126-degree weather. It stays in my backpack and gets beat up a lot. However, there are no bad sectors and it performs as it was just made.

This is my second WD external drive though this one is twice the capacity. One of my ongoing fears is the loss of my family pictures and videos and though I have those files backed up on a second computer, my angst of losing them, especially should my two laptops be damaged or stolen, is the overwhelming reason to back those files and keep them in a different location (not even in my house). The WD drives work very well and have great capacity for just about anyone's photo and/or video files.

Awesome purchase and a great investment! Not only have I moved over all of my photos and videos, but I will plan on using my hard drive to store my YouTube footage and gaming content! It’s a bummer transferring files isn’t the same when doing it on a MacBook, but other than that it’s a good purchase!

This 2TB external storage device is perfect for what I purchased it for. Years of pics and vid’s, important documents, etc. It was pretty easy to get stall and set up. It took a while to download pics/vids, but that was because there were 5 years worth of worth of files! It ended up faster than it initially estimated. Overall…we’re very happy with the capacity and function of this product, and I would recommend this to other buyers.

Second puchase for this one. I bought this originally years ago and Best Buy still has these listed for the same price even after massive inflation. I have 1 running my home built arcade system and it runs all the thousands of games I have on there smoothly.
