Great price for the amount of space. Only wish it came with a case. I just keep it stored in the box.

I was overdue for a new external and was reminded of this by an Untimely Incident involving a fault error. A handy sale let me pick this up while I had my tower in for (hopeful) rescue and all ended happily! This is easy to set up and use, no muss, no fuss, and is a solid piece of equipment. If you have a lot of media you'll want to go for 3T or larger, but 2T is more than enough for my needs.

This hard drive is really easy to use. It is powered by the USB port it's plugged into. No external power necessary.

It's small compact and portable. Perfect for what I need.

I like Western Digital products. I buy this type each year to do a big backup of all my files, photos, movies, etc.

This does what I need it to do. It stores my games for my PS4. Already had one for my Xbox One, which works well too. Lots of storage space. Fast USB 3 connection. What's not to like?

So far so good!! Works as designed and expected. Nice form factor. The only thing I would change is to make it so it's not as smooth, it can slide off of any surface if not placed flat. Maybe put rubber bumpers on one side. So I like it and would purchase it again if the need arises. Devices like this are hard to rate early on because the reliability factor only comes into play over time and if it performs as expected when you really need it to. And if it doesn't, well, then it's crap. Right?

I thought when I purchased this that it would not be necessary to format the drive. It was necessary on my windows computer. Otherwise works great; easy to transfer data and good to have the size and back up space.
