I got this because I could sense that my old laptop was about done, and I have entirely too many things I'd be devastated to lose. It's so easy to put files on here, and I was able to transfer them to my new laptop in less than 20 minutes. It's my main back up until I can afford a desktop. I also have a WD drive for my PS4, so I definitely love this brand.

I prefer Seagate but western digital is a good brand as well. Works for external storage for my laptop.

Purchased to add storage on Xbox Series S for older games. Just got my son Game Pass, with the majority of available games being past Xbox One or before, as this hard drive cannot be used for the new Xbox Series X|S games. Got this drive at a great price. It has USB 3.0 connection, which is the minimum required on Series S. I tried connecting an old HD that is USB 2.0, but the console would not allow us to use it for any games.

I bought this for a project - to consolidate all our photos in one place. I knew that I had a lot of duplicates and that they were scattered across like 4 laptops. I knew they wouldn't fit on my SSD of my main computer so I wanted a giant drive to stage them all on. Anyway, it performed great. No problems with it at all. Nice and compact too. Really happy with the purchase.
