My old external hard drive was no longer working. This is compact and works better than the old one.

I have several WD MyPassport and MyPassport Ultras that I use for backups and off-site storage. The WD - easystore® 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive, exclusive to Best Buy, is essentially the same drive without WD encryption and backup software. Seeing I don't need/use that extra software, I saved some bucks on this plainer drive. Works just as good as the MyPassport. Bonus is that it matches my older MyPassports in shape and size ... not the funky new squared off design.

I have owned several WD hard drives both external and internal and still have them for storage. I use them to back up my files because I don't want store them on someone else's cloud. They have never failed me. Bought it on sale and it works great.

My previous computer recently crashed. I did not have any backup for it. The IT firm was able to save some of the data from it, but by no means all of it. The tech strongly urged me to get a backup device for my new computer. I found this unit on sale. It was easy to install and was up and running in minutes. Now I have a new back up once an hour, 24/7.

Works great, love it! Am able to download and play Steam games on it which saves space on my computer! I've bought one for each of my computers because switching one back and forth to move files caused it to become corrupted (I think because one computer is Windows 8 and the other is Windows 10) but there was an easy fix on Youtube to recover the files so it's all good.

Needed a good drive to store stuff from a work computer, this had more than enough space and is easy to access! If you need a good storage option this drive has more than enough to get the job done.

It is a nice size very compact and easy to use. Silent running and has good speed. Excellent value for the money.

I bought this for the sole purpose of connecting to my PS4 so that I could get more storage to keep all of the games that my boys have. This was a simple solution. It only needs to be plugged in via usb cable (included) to the PS4 and doesn't require a power cord as well. With it being usb 3.0 it is compatible with the PS4. Once connected, formatting was super simple and quick. Would highly recommend this product if you need more storage for a video game system.
