Great External HDD for backing up your data

Works as a great hard drive for my PS4

You plug it into a USB slot, Windows recognized it, loads drivers and asks what you want to do. Typically you select view files. Then using File Explorer, you copy or move files or folders onto the drive. With USB 3.0, it's very fast -- a tenth the time of burning and verifying DVDs.

Great for the Xbox One X !

The Xbox immediately recognized it. There was no need to do anything else! I have been using WD external drives for over 20 years, and not once have had any kind of problem. For those looking to expand the drive capacity of their Xbox One X (or S), I strongly recommend this unit.
