    I bought this as a means to back-up all the photos I take for my ship as their photographer for ceremonies and special events. There was no setup required beyond plugging the device into my computer and I have not yet come across any issues with corruption or lost files. For the amount of storage space and the price, it really can't be beat.

    A few years ago, I thought I would never need anywhere near 2TB's of storage. But as I do more and more HD video work at home, it becomes more needed. This USB external hard drive is the perfect solution. And I can take it to show my movies on other people's computers. So far it has performed perfectly.

    Purchased three of these portable hard drives to have necessary work files locally available for me & my co-workers. Now that the majority of us are working from home these files are too large and create a delay when using VPN to access from our network. A very essential purchase this turned out to be.

    I purchased this to go with a new computer that came with a 1 TB SSD boot drive. I always like to have a standard hard drive on which to install games and applications. Despite the USB interface, the speed is probably just as good, if not better, than a standard internal hard drive. It is a great product so far.
