I needed some extra storage for my MacBook and this 2TB external portable hard drive is exactly what I was needing. This item has met my expectations as for as memory size, speed and I like that it is portable so that I can use it with other devices as well. I recommend this external portable hard drive for sure.

Great quality for the price i paid. I store everything on this and ive had it for 2 year. Its traveled with me with no problems. I ha e games and thousands of vids and photos on it. I love it!! Its easy to hook up and use

The drive works well with Windows 10, and I was able to plug it into both a laptop and a USB hub with no issues. I had problems getting the Western Digital Discovery Tool to install on Windows 10, and I ended up abandoning that installation. Fortunately, the software is not a requirement for getting the drive to work, and, since I just needed the drive for additional storage space, I have not needed to retry the installation.

Was maxing out my 1TB MacBook Pro but don't need to get a new laptop, since this one is working great. (Besides, I don't know if a SSD internal is made for this in a larger size yet.) Adding the compact Easy Store WD 2tb USB external was perfect. Sure, I have to take it to & from work with the laptop, but it's so small, it's easy to do. Flawless performance so far, and I cleared a ton of space on my primary drive. loads fast, migrates files transparently. Biggest item on the external is the iTunes folder (260 gb to date), and it's smooth as ever. Left photos on the primary lest I ever have an issue with the external. My experience is that Photos behave better left on the default drive and location. Very happy. All is backed up with Time Machine hourly at each of the two locations I work most (3 TB each place - should bump that up soon), so there is a redundancy to be safe.

This USB Hard Drive is very light, very small, and very easy to use. The price was good, delivery to the store very prompt and pick-up was so well organized that it was actually a pleasant experience. It is too early to say how this hard drive will perform over the long term, but initial use has been excellent.

I use this device as my primary device for my laptop to store my family photos. Its small and sleek and does the job perfectly. I backup this drive to another one that fills my needs perfectly. My 2nd drive is not the same as this device, but if I had to replace the 2nd drive I use to back up this one, I'd repurchase this one to replace it so I have 2 of this device. Like it a lot.

Best bang for the buck. Small size and can be powered by Streaming devices that have USB for video storage. Simple plug, power, and play.

This is my third or fourth storage device from WD and I could not be happier with my choice. This device is stable and easy to use. It does not take up much space and I can have multiple backups in different locations.

Has worked out O.K. for transferring files from my old computer to the new one and backing up my photo albums on the old unit. Will for long term need to upgrade to an SSD portable for use on my old and my new computer.

I bought this for my PS5 since I’m a new owner and wanted to play old PS4 exclusives. It works great! I can’t validate spending $200 for a 1TB SSD for only 300 more GB of storage. You can quickly swap next-gen games from the console to the hard drive and vice versa. Great hard drive!

I have used the external usb to back up my Word documents. While I do not have a lot, they are quite important. In the past I used the usb flash drive which took several minutes at times. Although I have only used this external usb once I was very surprised at the speed! Overall I thought it was a good purchase.

Works great. Games run perfectly off this external. Keep more room on your SSD and offload your PS4 content onto this. Even TLOU2 60 fps mode will work with the game installed on this external. Western Digital make reliable HDDs.
