As with that HDD, this has the same male micro USB 3.0 double plug to 3.0 USB A male cable. I would have preferred a USB C connection but at least now I have 2 cables. Data transfer is not as fast as with a Samsung 1TB SSD but it serves its purpose. I've used WD HDDs in 3.5" and 2.5" form factors in the past and am pleased with their reliability to date. My old 1TB HDD will see service on a DVR device.
