Best/awesome for pretty much anything...

I currently use it for media both video and images; high quality(and raw) then editing and saving drafts and final projects for clients. WD never disapoints 15+ yrs using this brand.

Quick and reliable for file and system backup

In both cases this drive is quick, reliable, and doesn't get hot. The size is nice and the power is completely sourced by the USB 3.0 connection into my computer. I'd buy this again without question.
