a great device for backing up your data. I'd suggest having at least one of these at home to keep and to keep using. This brand is also very good!

For the price this little hard drive is simply amazing. The back up software works very well and I use it on a regular basis to keep a back up of my laptop

I just wanted to let my PCs run Windows 7 image backups. I just move it to the right PC before the scheduleddate and do not use any of the preinstalled software.

We bought this to use with our airtv program. We now can record shows on this and watch them back, skipping through the commercials. It works very well.

With the newer MAC OS you need to basically wipe the drive first and then reformat, which isn't difficult, but it isn't plug and play. I think it would be difficult for some users to setup. Good thing BestBuy has GeekSquad to help those folks - I'd recommend that if you aren't a skilled user.

Was easy to backup once I figured out how to get my MacBook to recognize the external drive. I think the driver disc was unhelpful as I don’t have a CD drive on my computer. I think the memory is enough for what I use it for which is mostly photos downloaded from my phone

Got this to replace a Seagate drive - it has worked so well so far. It has software for backup, though works well with Apple Time Machine.

I'm so happy that I was able to transfer my important documents to this hard drive when I bought my new computer. Everything worked out just right.

My husband had only purchased a 250 GB PS4 and the space quickly ran out but some one had recommended this product to add more space to his PS4 and it is amazing.

Works well, set up was easy. Fall short of security since no password protection is available other than that just good medium of storage.

Purchased this WD external hard drive to free up space on my computer. This was simple and did exactly what I needed. Found it on sale which made it even better.

I got this to use as an external storage device to expand the recording capacity of my Dish Network satellite receiver. It works flawlessly for that purpose.

This seems to work with Mac & PC out of the box, which is exactly what I needed. It wont let me add to hard drive directly from Mac but i can pull from the hard drive to the Mac. I guess it depends on which system you plug it into first. I used a PC first.

I the software was on the drive and ran as soon as it was plugged in. Wanted to just backup a few folders and it did it just fine.

I've never had an issue with these SSD's. This one is used for my SSD laptop bit I'm sure it would also work great on a gaming system for more space.
