I had trouble getting the software to work, got a lot of errors messages. Returned the drive to Best Buy and got another Western Digital model. That one worked right out of the box. Best Buy always stand behind their products.

Need an extra hard drive for data storage. This one happens to be on sale. It is a great choice if you are on a budget and do not care much about the form factor.

Got this to run video games off of. With USB3.0 it does so smoothly. Just plug and play. Definitely would recommend it to anyone else looking to do the same. Unless you need something with a fast load time, you don't really need an SSD external.

Using this as my external HDD for my PS4. So far no issues. I do not notice any loading gains or losses for games loading off the external vs internal HDD

it is functioning well. i did not bother with the software that came with it, preferring to use my own to do backups of several systems.

This is the cheapest HDD you can find but works perfectly! The only negative side is the material, too plastic. Hopefully I would never drop it.

My pc is filled with memory due to photos stored from the cell phone of my wife and daughter. Therefore, i bought this drive to store them outright.

Attached instantly to my system, works perfectly, stays connected, good speed even over USB 2.0, includes serviceable backup software.

Great drive it lasts a long time but fills up fast with all my data the usb port is not great quality but its ok

This perfect for time machine backups on my Mac or storage expansion. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had come with an optional USB-C cable. It was quickly remedied by a trip to another local store for the USB 3 to USB-C cable and less than $10.
