I have bought many WD hard drives and they still work great 10 years later. This was one that I bought for my security camera NVR to double the storage capacity. I have bought multiple 5TB hard drives, which work great but the NVR could only support up to 2TB extra.

I recently had a complete loss of all of the data on my laptop and had to reload everything from scratch. I had all of the data backed up in different areas, but I lost around 6 hours in time getting everything back to where I had it. So I started looking for a drive that I could store disk image files on. This drive has met that goal completely! Extremely fast, super lightweight. The only con I can find is that it doesn't come with a bag to keep the drive and cord together. I had a velvet bag that I got with a 2.5" drive enclosure, so I'm keeping it in that so I don't lose the cord (and it adds some protection from scratches). So far I've backed up images of 3 different computers. I haven't used the included WD software but it really doesn't look that great. I use AOMEI Backerupper (free).

This has held up nice and I think is worth the money when it comes to needing high GB storage. I do a lot of composing and that starts taking up loads of space.

Great product works well lots of storage- great bang for your buck

A classic large (2TB) and portable HDD that does everything you want it to. File transfer speed is nice. Perfect for storing important stuff that you don't plan on needing anytime soon but want off your pc.

Easy to use for those of us who are computer challenged. Simply plug it in and you're ready to download your data. No set up necessary. Plenty of storage and It's also fast. Love it!

Very reasonably priced 3.0 usb external drive. Small footprint. MAC compatible when reformatted. Using it strictly for time machine backups. Plenty of space with 2TB.

This drive is big on space, yet very portable. Will definitely buy another once this one is filled

I bought this for my ps4 and its been a great help in freeing up space on my console! I shopped around and this was the best price for the space. It works perfectly, I actually bought a 4TB one for my ps5 as well!

Extremely easy to use and saves computer space for work and school

Wonderful drive. Small, light, works with older desktop computer. Have disconnected and reconnected several times. Have deleted content, added content, moved content with no problems. Highly recommend.

This is a very economical and reliable external drive. We are using it to backup primarily photos and video files and it has been a solid investment for us. Compact size is also a plus!

Great price and fast. Bought for my Mac. The software that comes with this ( NTFS for Mac ) is horrible so ended up uninstalling it and just formatting the drive for a Mac. Works fine know
