It comes with backup software, which I deleted as I wanted to do my own thing instead of automated. My computers and laptops all recognize and auto-setup the hardware with ease and it is simple to use. Lightweight and economical.

A great external storage option for PS4

Ends up being slightly less than 2 TB after format (around 1.8 TB) but that's typical and also plenty of storage for my needs.
