    I followed the instructions on formatting for my Mac. Definitely not plug and play. I admit I’m not tech savvy but I can follow directions. It only stored some random things. WD tech support insisted the problem was with Timemachine and that I needed to contact Apple. Best Buy wanted me to pay them $99 for tech support in setting this $80 item up. Phooey on both. I returned it.

    At first I hit a wall setting this up with a Mac. It's not entirely just plug in and go. Had a friend help me out you have to sort of reformat your drive but seems to work.
