Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm just hoping my important information would not get deleted from this device due to I have installed software for a MacBook laptop and well what about if I want to view my information on a Windows computer I don't know if it would let me or it will want me to install software again and then I would loose all my data already on it!! So I don't know I made the right choice by purchasing this. Does anyone know if that would happen if I were to do that??

Cumbersome to set up

I own a prior version of the WD drive and it came with all the software needed to immediately use it. I brought the unit to the Geek Squad who helped me out and got the software onto my laptop. Thanks Geek Squad. Once the software was installed it worked fine.
