Great portable HD for backing up a laptop or desktop. I used this to back up my laptop that I needed to send in for repairs. Easy to use and good amount of storage space.

I needed something small and portable to use on both Mac and PC computers. Formatted (exFAT) using Disk Utility on a Mac and it's worked well on a variety of Windows versions. I also like that it's USB powered, so no extra power adapter is required.

If you need to back up your movies video games and photos and not want to take a loss on not having two copies this is the way to go great for video game systems also

It does exactly what I want it to do: store large files that I don’t have space for on the hard drive on my work issued laptop. It is easily portable because of the small size and was easy to set up with the latest version of Mac OS.

Great buy! Plug and play and Easy to use. Comes with automatic backup software. Very slim I could put in my back pocket. As far as performance, it is yet to be reviewed. But so far after transferring 2GB of files it's working great!

Question, when was the last time you backed up your machine? If the answer is "What's a backup?" or "never" - you should buy this and start backing up. 2TB of data is a lot, and can back up so many things, and you should be backing up all your devices!

Purchased at the recommendation of a Geek Squad rep after maintenance on my laptop.

I bought to open up space on my ps4. No issues thus far. I do properly remove it when I am done every time. Like most drives they can corrupt if just yanked out or suffer an surge. Take your time, do it right, should have no issues.

Good volume storage, easy to use for backups and photos

This was a simple solution to replace my Apple Airport Time Capsule which was malfunctioning and is no longer available for purchase. Works with Time Machine to back up my MacBook. Plug it in and you will be good to go at a much lower price point.

My sons PS4 internal hard drive was out of space. Didn't realize the PS4 puts the entire game on the hard drive so not wanting to delete games to make room this external drive was the way to go. Plugged it into USB port and the PS4 initialized it no problem. Been great ever since. Storage problem solved!

Perfect price point, perfect performance. I picked this up as a redundancy for the Time Machine for one of my MacBook's, and it's been excellent. I am an extreme user, so this would probably work for most people's primary backup.
