It is critical that important data on my computer . This brand of a hard drive backup has served me well in the past

I purchased this drive last year and it seems to do the job. However, I think I was mislead by the mention that WD backup software was included. This is still mentioned in the specs but it is not available from WD. They mention Acronis which requires a license. I have been using WIndows file history but because I was unable to figure out the WD backup offer until now. Somewhat misleading specs because I purchased this particular drive to do auto backups and expected it to be easy. It does not seem that's the case.

Easy to use and it does the job. And the price was hard to beat.

Easy to download photos. Keeps photos safe, free from losing photos.

I was looking for a large portable backup drive and this one hit the mark especially for the money. It's fast and connects easily to my Windows 10 laptop without issue.

I bought this drive because it was fairly inexpensive for Mac Time Machine backup. 6 months in and it works perfectly so far. No unexpected heating or slowing down. I’m buying one for my fiancé’s new Mac.

This was plug and play into my Xbox one great storage no lag time perfect

I picked this up to use with my MacBook Pro. It works with either Apple Or Windows. The hard drive is a little bit wider than a deck of cards,but not as thick. The outer case is made from plastic and there is a twelve inch cable that comes with it. Oh, there is also a little white light that tells you when it is working. It's a plug and play device. The Mac makes it easy to use and after some formatting it has been backing up the MacBook every day. If you are looking for an external storage drive this one is a good choice.

This item was perfect to add more memory to my son's PS4. It's sleek and smaller than I thought it would be. Installation was simple (my 11 year old did it alone!)

Pro's: - lightweight but the case doesn't feel cheap - Good data copy rates - even though I didn't use a USB3.0 port to transfer my files - Easy Plug and Play setup Con's - Non Really If you watch the BB ads, I'm sure you could get this quite a bit cheaper closer to Black Friday. My main purpose for buying this drive was to store a backup of my music and photo files. Since I'm only using this as a storage device, it is plenty fast enough for copying my files onto it. You might want to go with the Passport if you need to transfer files for gaming.

I am using this drive with the NTI Backup Now EZ 7 backup software and it works very well. USB 3.0 makes it fast enough to actually be able to do files backups and a full volume backup within a decent time frame.
