WD needs to provide written instruction on the use of their products. I had difficulties using this product because I already had WDSmartware installed on my PC and I found out that Smartware is no longer used. Therefore it is very confusing to use older external WD portable drives. More information and instructions on their products would be very helpfull.

Does exactly what I needed and very easy to use and works in background

Works well with my XBOX One - so far, it is working seamlessly without any major lag or issues. We've enjoyed being able to load more games to the system, and it was hard to beat the sale price of this device.

Western Digital equipment is the best, in my opinion. I've been using WD hard drives in all my computers for years and this portable 2TB is the perfect "on-the-go" complement for any laptop or other portable equipment.

An easy install, great size for portability. Went into BestBuy to get a 1 TB & this 2 TB was a great deal so I got it instead. Prob never have to buy another!

I am a freelance Graphic Designer, and my iMac doesn't have enough space for my projects. I bought this, and it works great. I do not travel with it, because I don't want to run the risk of breaking it.

Only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I didn’t know I had to reformat it for the Mac. Although the process wasn’t THAT hard, it would’ve been good to have prior notice about that. Maybe I should have asked, but I still like it.
