It does exactly what I need it to do even though I don’t use it for its back up function.

I love these appliances, except the washer leaks a little water, but I will contact Best Buy for further review after I have used again to be sure it is going to be okay. Delivery and set up excellent!

This was purchased to augment storage capability for PS4 gaming system. It was easy to install and has thus far proved to be problem free.

I use this as a permanently attached external backup drive for my PC. It works fine and as per my usual experience with WD drives, it is very reliable. It replaced a 10-year-old WD drive that I disposed of when I bought my new computer. My complaint is that it was very difficult to setup to back up all my files. I had 79GB of files and photos in my users folder (Windows 10) which this drive was supposed to back up by default but it consistently backed up only 21GB. After numerous unsuccessful attempts including using custom settings to manually select all my User folders, I was about to give up when I decided to try including what Windows refers to as a library and that worked. As a bonus, it also backed up all the software programs I had on the main hard drive, like games, photo editing software, Quicken, etc., even MS Office. I tried running all those programs from the WD drive and they all worked. What it did not back up was the Windows 10 OS whereas my old WD backup drive had created an image of my old Windows OS. Not a big deal as I have a separate recovery drive. One last issue: In order to find your files, you have to navigate down through an absurdly complex number of folders with bizarre names. One would think WD could simplify that process. I gave it three stars because of the setup issues and the difficulty locating files.

I was looking for more hard drive space for my PS4, and I am more than pleased with this. It took just s couple minutes to set up and use... it's great!

I bought a laptop with 250GB of SSD storage...which wasn't enough by half. Th egeeks squad moved my old hard drive content onto the new laptop, and within 3 months, I needed a better solution. Wish they had guided me toward this...or a larger SSD!

I bought this for my daughter to use with her laptop. It is easy to connect to and run backups. There is plenty of storage available and very portable.

Needed to back up some livestreams from Twitch and the read and write speed on this is crazy fast! Almost 200 Mb/s! Can’t go wrong with that!

This is a great drive at a great price. Pick one up for your backups. USB3 interface is fast, so is the drive. Lots of space, good quality!

We bought this for extra space for games on the XBox One, and works like a charm. Was less expensive than buying a console with more space.

Fantastic external HDD. I have two 1TB's and just got this 2TB. They just work, great size, quiet, fast (USB3). Love them.
