Good choice as a back-up external hard drive.

It was taking longer to back up a file but worse it some times "disappeared". Rebooting the system brought it back but I have too many files to risk it failing if the computer konks out. I looked for a replacement external hard drive and zeroed in on the WD 2 Tb USB portable hard drive. So far, I am happy with it. It's easy to install. I'd have given it 5 stars except that I didn't like the "auto-backup" feature that seemed to take forever. The drive comes with a utilities program that allowed me to stop the auto-back up. I've been used to backing up everything I do dating back to the 2-floppy era so, thank you, I'll do it when I want to. If it lasts as long as its predecessor, I'll be highly pleased.
