Thought this is ssd but it's not. works great, just takes 30-40 minutes to back up my stuff vs 5 with SSD. Use it as an extra location backup

It could be a laptop issue...

Only concern is this comes with 2yr warranty. I also own a WD passport 1tb drive. It comes with 3yr warranty.
