Customer Ratings & Reviews

Easy directions to set-up. Works great for backing up critical information on my computer. Easy to create system image.

This hard drive is amazing and easy to use. Works fast and easy and definitely will be getting another one of these.

This is not my first WD external hard drive. I've discovered they are reliable and affordable.

Perfect external hard drive and very easy to use. It is sleek and fits about anywhere!

Love that I am able to back-up my work outside my laptop.

This is a lightweight 2 TB portable usb 3 drive. It is easy to use for backing up your computer.

This was on sale and it came with a $25 Best Buy gift card. It was a hair over $95 with the tax but if you deduct the gift card it was $70, for a 4 TB hard drive. That is a deal as far as I'm concerned. These are WD drives but they are sold only at Best Buy. The warranty is 2 years, a year less than a WD badged drive but you're not going to get a 4 TB WD branded drive for anywhere near this price. It is perfect for backups or storing the overflow from your folders on other drives.

Easy to set up. Inexpensive storage. Easy to store in my bag. Probably should have gotten the 5T

Needed it for my ps4, super easy to use and has been reliable so far. No complaints.

I have used this device for about a month. Use it for work and at home for backup of all of my files (including thousands of vacation pictures) and software I have created and used over many years. I plug into my USB port on my desktop or laptop (back and forth) and it instantly is recognized on both my systems which run windows 10 operating system. Have only used about 20 % of its 2 Terra Byte storage capacity.

Large capacity storage for portable hard drive, small compact size fo desk top use.

This was an upgrade for me having previously used smaller size WD portable drives. This is fine so far although it's the long term you have to think about.

Works fine. Nothing special. Backup software included is junk as usual as it's a resource hog and not the simplest to configure if you use custom folders/locations.

Very easy plug and play situation. Simply seat your hard drive in the enclosure and connect usb to your pc. Quick.

Good price for a good product The transfer of the media went well and quickly which is exactly what I was looking for. Caught the device on sale which was even better but I probably would have still paid full price if necessary

This is a great drive for additional stowage on the Xbox One. We found with game updates and new games being added to the internal 1 Terabyte system drive, updates would not install or complete. Rather than deleting games and DLC, this for us, was an easier route. The Xbox One will reformat the drive so you will lose any utilities included on the external drive.

Device is compact and easy to install. Included software makes setting up backups fairly easy.

this was one of my better buys for saving movies that i watch

I purchased this for my Mother so she could conduct her own data backups from her laptop. Although she is familiar with computers, she is somewhat intimidated by new extended components, processes and procedures. The design, ease of use and simple backup process is perfect for her. One walk-thru with this drive and she was actually surprised at how easy it was to conduct her own backups. Good design, interface and simple steps (confidence builder) from this little HDD.

Great external hard drive!! Very easy to use & holds a large amount of photos, videos & documents.
