Bought to store videos/pictures and free up space on computer. Small, easy to use.

Performs as promised and is very easy to set up. Good value for the price.

Plugged this into my Wifi router's usb port so I can use this as a NAS drive. Used FE file explorer app to access from IOS devices

We've been looking for an external hard drive, this had the storage needed at a great price.

We took the drive to the IBM computer of the person who needed to provide us files, thinking it would work both ways, but it didn't. Perhaps this was partly our fault? Don't know for sure, but we needn't yet another piece of equipment to download files from IBM, and then be able to use them in our Macs.

Very simple to setup on my Mac, nice portable size. Needed extra storage for photos, love it!

This drive is very small and very easy to use not to mention the price is right.

I'm using this drive for general storage and I've been happy with the drive's performance. This is an15mm drive so if you're looking for a thin, profile this is not the drive for you. I'm removing 1 star because this drive does not offer the same functionality as a WD Passport and it was not mentioned on the packaging. For example, this drive does not offer any way to encrypt the contents of the drive. If you are using this as a portable drive and you're carrying sensitive or personal information that you want encrypted if the drive is lost or stolen, this is not the drive for you. Instead look at the WD Passport drives instead. Otherwise, for general use I would recommend this drive.

Excellent portable storage device for files, Light weight and small. Great for travel and home.

Bought to use for time machine for my MacBook. No issues formatting to a mac friendly format, no bad sectors upon first testing. As usual a great product from western digital.

easy to use, great backup software included. reliable, haven't had a WD drive fail me yet.

I'm a little confused with this drive. At purchase i was under the impression that it had something special (something different) compared to other drives. At least based on the information presented in the description. Auto backup isn't exclusive to this drive, just a different process to go about. Aside from that, everything else about this drive is great! Got this drive at a discount and definitely glad I picked it up.

This is replacing an older 1TB hard drive. That I really like. It looks exactly the same, just holds 2x the data. I used the old one daily for 5 years, carrying it to and fro. It was damaged when it dropped off a table. Be sure to backup you info in 2 places. Yes, twice plus the original. Have 3 copies! (My backup had become corrupted on another brand hard drive.)

This is a great external drive. Easy to use with loads of space for backing up everything.
