I bought this to back up pictures from my computer and it is great, very small and tons of memory

Used this as a memory expansion for a PS4. Formatting was simple and game load fast from this hard drive than the installed one.

My hard drive was crashing and Best Buy was able to recover all the information.

So far so good, I am able to back up using the built in windows feature and keep big media files on it with ease!

I will come back to this external at a later time. I usually don’t have good experiences with WD but so far it’s been ok

It's small but has plenty of storage capacity. I'm also please with the speed.

I'm using this drive for general storage and I've been happy with the drive's performance. This is an15mm drive so if you're looking for a thin, profile this is not the drive for you. I'm removing 1 star because this drive does not offer the same functionality as a WD Passport and it was not mentioned on the packaging. For example, this drive does not offer any way to encrypt the contents of the drive. If you are using this as a portable drive and you're carrying sensitive or personal information that you want encrypted if the drive is lost or stolen, this is not the drive for you. Instead look at the WD Passport drives instead. Otherwise, for general use I would recommend this drive.

We took the drive to the IBM computer of the person who needed to provide us files, thinking it would work both ways, but it didn't. Perhaps this was partly our fault? Don't know for sure, but we needn't yet another piece of equipment to download files from IBM, and then be able to use them in our Macs.

Replacing the drive fixed the problem when my PC started slowing down and then wouldn't boot up. Saved me from having to purchase a new pc.

Very simple to setup on my Mac, nice portable size. Needed extra storage for photos, love it!

Bought to use for time machine for my MacBook. No issues formatting to a mac friendly format, no bad sectors upon first testing. As usual a great product from western digital.

I'm a little confused with this drive. At purchase i was under the impression that it had something special (something different) compared to other drives. At least based on the information presented in the description. Auto backup isn't exclusive to this drive, just a different process to go about. Aside from that, everything else about this drive is great! Got this drive at a discount and definitely glad I picked it up.

Great Hard Drive for the price. I got the 2TB model and it has been good so far for 6 months of heavy usage. It's not the fastest drive out there but it does get the job done well. The only thing that I wish was a USB-C connector. I sometimes feel I will break off the big connector that's on it. But I use it with a desktop so I don't have any issues.

This is a great external drive. Easy to use with loads of space for backing up everything.
