I bought 2tb and I realized that it wasn't enough for me. This product is very small and easy to bring anywhere I want. It also transfer data very quick and smooth. I was satisfy with this product and this price at the time I bought.

Lots of storage in a tiny box!

It does not have a "stand" so it's just sitting behind my monitor at the moment. I only use this to store backup files in case my desktop goes kaput, so it won't be plugged in except for when I need it... and that way I can hide it from viruses and thieves...

Great amount of storage!

This external hard drive transfers files faster than any other hard drive I've used so far, which is great when you're transferring thousands of music files! I purchased this to be my dedicated music hard drive, with the full intention of downloading every CD I own and every piece of digital music I have purchased, to keep everything safe and neatly stored. Time to de-clutter!

might've been a bad lot a the same store

I exchanged it for the exact same model, and had the same result. Returned the second one for a refund. I also have the 5TB model and that one did not squeak.

really good external hard drive

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This external hard drive was super easy to install and the computer set it up right away. we had run out of storage space on one of our computers that had an internal 1 TB hard drive, couldn't save games or anything and I didn't want to erase anything i had saved. This little hard drive solved all my storage problems. I really recommend it
