Replacing a 1 TB hard drive that ran out of room for backup. An excellent drive. Using it on an iMac.

Like that it doesn’t take up much space. I was easy to use.

Work really well for game assets and scripts holds alot of my games as well

Not much information out there exists on this product. It is almost like they created it, but then gave up on the product itself. That is what worried me the most, but it ended being a good product. There are small issues with it, but nothing that can't be overcome with know-how. The one issue that is frustrating is that when the computer goes to sleep, the mac partition of the drive has a hard time ejecting.... Not sure if this is the hardware of the computer or the software of the drive. I really just bought it because it was the cheapest one. However, I don't know if I would go with this one again.

Easy to use. Fast when copying files to and from drive

Bought this for use with a DVR recorder as the sole memory unit. Therefore it gets used for about 4 hours or more per day. Just plugged it in and it has worked perfectly in the background flawlessly now for 21 months. It does not get hot and performs perfectly. Was very good value. Would absolutely purchase again.

I purchased the 2 TB drive as part of setting up a network attached storage (NAS) on my home network. Right out of the box, it was recognized by all of my computers, including the NAS device. It came with management software and I did install it, and while it seemed easy to use, I removed it as my NAS doesn't need it. Overall, I would recommend the WD drive.

Great dependable external drive. I use this as an external drive for my PS4. Has not given me a problem yet.

I have had this Hard Drive for about one month and use it to backup my iMac 27" 5K. The backup goes smoothly and only takes about one hour to complete.

I like this because it is a smaller size & easy to use.

I bought this hard drive to help me backup a bunch of files off of my main computer to free up some space... Did one transfer of a few folders (about 10 GB worth), no problems... Then I attempted to transfer the entirety of my old external drive onto this one (nearly 1 GB of files)... The transfer started okay... but before long, it said "The request failed due to a fatal device hardware error" ... I skipped that message, and then it aborted the transfer altogether. When I checked the drive to see what had transferred... only a few 1 kb files had successfully been written... BUT what is even worse: (a) I can no longer access the files that WERE successfully written to this "easystore" drive (I was just about to delete them from my recycle bin... good thing I hadn't done that yet!!) (b) I can't even erase or format the drive. It is literally broken. It appears that, after a SINGLE use, the drive actually FAILED (irrevocably) on the second attempt to even use it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, or be prepared to pay the price when you suddenly lose all of your information stored on it...
